Friends from Canada
For the past few days, we have been hosting friends from Québec, Canada. We have not seen them since the COVID pandemic started, so we were all very excited. Joanna is nine and her little sister Mia is four.
We had a very fun time together. Mia and I had a pretend tea party in our basement. We also drew pictures together. I drew a unicorn and a pineapple for Mia, and she drew three pineapples for me! We also took them to the Hershey’s Chocolate World. We got to learn about the chocolate-making process during the ride. On top of that, we saw a beautiful gingerbread house and the world’s biggest Hershey’s chocolate candy bars.
We also had fun enjoying scrumptious meals together. We had Indian curry and bread for lunch as well as a few slightly spicy samosas. For dinner, we had Malaysian laksa, which are noodles in spicy soup.
They just left for North Carolina, but we will see them again in the new year when they are on the way back to Canada.
