The Humane Society of Harrisburg
The Humane Society of Harrisburg is a non-government organization. That means that it doesn't receive funds from the government, instead, it relies on donations made by the public. They serve the pets and people of Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry County, an area that has more than 500,000 people.
Their mission is to help as many animals as they can. They have speical programs that are targeted at specific audiences. They are all designed to fill a need in the community.
They also have a summer camp that kids can sign uo for an attend. They will have the oppurtunity to experience a range of humane education ideas and concepts.
